THE KIDS’ CLUB
ALABANG, PHILIPPINES
Children learn as they play.
The Westgate Center Kids’ Club in Alabang, Philippines is a 520-square-meter swimming and recreational facility for children as early as three months old. The ground floor of this three-story building contains the first Jump! Swim School franchise in the country, with an indoor pool heated to 32 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. Jump! offers three swimming programs: Swimming Babies Program, Independent Swimmers Program, and Stroke Development Program. The second floor contains an indoor playground with an outdoor cafe for fresh air and snacks. The third floor contains several classrooms and activity rooms for art, music, and physical education. Every floor has fully-accessible family bathrooms, children-friendly furniture, and ample of daylight. The center aims to promote play, interaction, and learning in young children.
This project was completed at Enspace in San Francisco, where I served as Principal Architect, leading the project through the pre-design, schematic design, and design development phases. I was responsible for the design as well as the renderings and presentation materials.
