Build it like a daffodil field: golden, sprightly dancing, and full of sunshine.
The Daffodil House is a two-bedroom residence located near a daffodil field in Woodside, CA. The golden daffodil became an architectural inspiration because of the flower’s simplicity and resilience - the bulb never stops growing and continues to absorb nutrients year-round to prepare for the bloom. As a spring flower and the first to bloom, daffodils are symbols of rebirth and hope. They signify new life as they are strong little survivors who have weathered the winter storms. This house, like nature, is made of sustainable materials and systems that will last for many generations.
This project is completed under Enspace in San Francisco.
