A building can remove barriers and make the meeting place fun.
The Chicago Ice Arena is a 125,000-square-foot practice facility for Chicago Mission AAA Hockey Club, Chicago Stallions, St. Ignatius College Prep, and the community. The $65-million facility contains with two NHL ice rinks and locker rooms. It also features medical and rehab facilities, a public fitness training center, a media center, a restaurant, a coffee shop, a rooftop deck, classrooms for public school students, and additional space for public functions. Although the Blackhawks and visiting NHL teams will be using the Ice Arena for practice, the facility will be available to the community most of the time. The Arena aims to serve as a youth hub for development and recreational programs.
This project is completed under HOK in Kansas City.
